Art Therapy Internship
20-hour and 40-hour internships are available for art therapy and
psychology students in offline and online modes. The program aims to
equip students with the skills to apply art therapeutically across diverse
settings and populations, preparing them for careers in the field.

This 40-hour internship program, offered in both online and offline modes, is designed to
equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for a career in the therapeutic
application of art. Through a structured curriculum, participants will explore how art therapy
can be used as a powerful tool for healing and self-expression across diverse settings and
populations.

Module 1 and 2 : Foundations of Art Therapy (Theory)

Introduction to Art Therapy – History, principles, and ethical considerations in the field.

Module 8 and 9 : Trauma-informed art therapy

Polyvagal Theory (Regulation of the nervous system)

Attachment Theory (Early relational trauma & self-perception)

Window of Tolerance (Helping clients regulate emotions through art)

Case Studies: Working with survivors of abuse, violence

Practical Assignments:

Safe space creation (therapeutic box or vision board)
